Erik Maes Jewelry

Based in Los Angeles, my company is the manifestation of an ever growing collection of handmade jewelry and accessories including rings, necklaces, earrings, cuffs, bangles, leather goods and homeware. Having first been exposed to the beauty of art metals as an elective while studying film theory at the UW-Madison, I've worked tirelessly to cultivate my own vision within jewelry design by pushing the processes and developing unique relationships with the materials themselves. My creations are inspired by natural textures, ocean waves, topography, rivers, flower buds, tree bark and more. Cast from sculpted wax models, carved cuttlebone molds and even deconstructed found objects, the innovation, style, and expert craftsmanship is evident in each piece. My jewelry and leather goods must be held and worn to be fully appreciated. Photos alone cannot capture the three dimensional and tactile quality of this uniquely handmade collection. 

 All my work is cast in solid sterling silver unless noted and plated in a thick 5 microns of 14 karat Hamilton gold - never using nickel. All jewelry components including chains, posts, clasps, jump rings, and ear wire are sterling silver.
